June 17 – Summer Wine Dinner – Discover the Terroir of the Dão with João Cardoso of Quinta do Mondego at Amorizade, Lagos
Join Terra Doce and Amorizade on June 17 for a special wine dinner featuring a selection of wines from Quinta do Mondego perfect for summer. João Cardoso will join us throughout the evening to share the story behind the winery, its vineyards, and the wines themselves. This is a unique opportunity to meet the producer, learn more about the Dão, and ask questions directly from the source.
Quinta do Mondego’s portfolio beautifully showcases the character of the Dão through traditional Portuguese grape varieties and wines that express the region’s granite soils, altitude, and a glimpse into one of Portugal’s most celebrated wine regions.
The wines will be paired with a specially curated menu from the Amorizade team, creating an evening of exceptional food, wine, and conversation. After the wonderful response to our March dinner at Amorizade, we’re delighted to return for another memorable evening and hope you’ll join us.

June 24 – Meet the Winemaker: Hugo Mendes @ Oli Wine & Dine, Lagos
We’re excited to welcome Hugo Mendes to Oli Wine & Dine for our next Meet the Winemaker event. Hugo’s wines are expressive and push the boundaries, much like the winemaker himself. Hugo started his winemaking journey as a winemaker in Bucelas near Lisbon. After working for others for 10 years, he started his own project with a crowdfunding campaign aimed to produce wines using only native Portuguese grape varieties, support community sustainability instead of industrialization, and highlight traditional winemaking roots. Join us for a special opportunity to meet Hugo, hear his story and learn about the wines from the source. Wines will be paired with tapas from the new seasonal menu from Oli Wine & Dine.
